I too love jack higgins books i have been reading them for many years,i find them so good i read them twice,most of my jack higgins books i get from charity shops,i too like is earlier novels to me they seem to have more to say about life and the world,my partner now reads selected novels and she enjoys them also,my favorite characters are first sean dillon then liam devlin i think there should be more liam devlin novels .

One unarmed combat technique mentioned in the books quite often which has always intriqued me, is the described as:
”Turning the wrist round and up, as in a vice”
Does anyone know what this technique is officially called?
it sounds like some form of wrist-lock

and ‘the eerie dog-whistle’, is this real?
and how would someone learn it?
